February Workshop

Its time for the February workshop! This month we will be making a message center from a cookie sheet, a notepad with matching pen, and a set of 3x3 notecards with matching box. We will be using the Unforgettable Paper Pack from Close to my Heart with a variety of inks and stamp sets. I hope you can join us for fun, laugher and creativity!

February Workshop

The January workshop was a great success! A Big thank you to all who attended! I hope you all had tons of fun, I sure did. Now on to the future! Its time to start looking at what I have planned for my February workshop. Check out the picture at the right side of this post and you'll see a message center with space for a notepad, magnets and pushpins. There's also a purse size notepad with a matching pen and a set of 3x3 notecards with matching box, perfect for gift enclosures or love notes. The price for the workshop will be $25. The date and location are still TBD but I will post more info as soon as I figure it out ;) Its really cold here right now and the weather is expected to be pretty much lousy. My plans for tomorrow include a Dr. Appt. (28 weeks and counting) and the rest of the day spent inside hopefully with lots of time to create some fun stuff, of course that' all dependent on how much Connor lets me do. But I will definitely post whatever it is that I'm able to get done. Have a great evening and STAY WARM!!!!

So Excited!

I'm so excited! I just recently got brand new scrapbooking storage furniture! I'm still trying to get all of my stuff moved into it, but that hasn't stopped me from creating! I've been playing around alot with my Cricut and my sewing machine, having so much fun! I've also got my first workshop tomorrow night. 9 lucky ladies get to spend the evening creating with me, I think we're going to have a blast. If you didn't get to sign up for this months workshop make sure you keep an eye out, I'm going to be posting details about the workshop for February soon, I've had a lot of fun making the sample items for the February workshop and I think its going to be a great one! Well, I guess I'd better get back to work or else I'm never going to have everything together in time for tomorrow night! Have a great day!

January Workshop Leftovers

Here are the additional projects I made with the supplies I had leftover from my Emporium paper packet and Emporium My Stickease that are used in the January workshop.

January Workshop

I hope everyone can join me for what I hope will be the first of many workshops. I will be hosting a workshop at my house on Friday January 23 at 6:30pm. We will be making a 2 page layout using the Emporium Level 2 Paper Packet and Emporium My Stickease from Close to my Heart. After making the layout, participants will have lots of leftover paper and cardstock stickers that they can use to make addtional layouts and cards. I put together the layout that we'll be doing at the workshop and was able to make two more 2 page layouts plus three cards with the leftovers, and I still have paper and stickers left!!! How awesome is that?!?! The picture at the top of this post is of the layout we will be doing. Look for a seperate post showing all of the things I made with the leftovers! This workshop will teach you a beautiful brayer edging technique (that I've fallen in love with BTW) and the rock and roll stamping technique. The cost for the workshop will be $25. All participants will receive 10% off of any order they make the night of the workshop. Reservations must be made by Monday January 12 in order to allow time for me to get enough supplies for everyone. Please contact me by phone or email to reserve your spot, hurry space is limited!!! If more people are interested than space allows I will consider booking a 2nd date. Thanksgiving Placecards

I got my Big E on Wednesday and have spent a majority of the last couple of days playing with it, that is of course, around getting ready for my family Thanksgiving shindig. I hosted the party this year so I had to accumulate extra tables and seating so that we could accomodate everyone, I had to figure out how to do a turkey (which turned out fabulous BTW, thanks to a Giada de Laurentis recipe on foodnetwork.com), and as if that's not enough I decided to make these little boxes for placecards which in my own personal opinion turned out adorable. I used TBBM, SYM, and WIMG cricut cartridges and I also used the ATB label maker for the names. The adults thought they were cute and the kids, not surprisingly, were just excited about the m&m's I had placed inside.
