Thanksgiving Placecards

Check this out! I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year for my husband's family. Whenever I host a big family meal like this, I feel it necessary to make placecards for everyone. This year I made Turkey ornaments for the placecards.
Aren't they cute? To make them you will need the following (all supplies are Close to my Heart unless otherwise noted):
2 5/8" dia. clear ornament (from local craft store)
cardstock in chocolate, holiday red, honey, orange, white daisy and black
ribbon (manuf. unknown)
martha stewart loop border punch
glue dots
xyron sticker maker
Here are the directions:
fill the ornament with rolled up strips of chocolate cardstock, I used 7 strips that are 6" x 3/4" and I rolled them around the handle of my embossing stylus then slid them into the ornament
cut 3 long ovals, mine are 3" long, 1 each of holiday red, honey and orange.
adhere ovals to each other in a fan shape, then adhere fan to back of the ornament.
cut out pieces for face: black for eyes, honey for beak, holiday red for waddle.
attach face pieces to front of ornament.
cut a tag from orange cardstock and an initial from white cardstock.
attach initial to tag and write name underneath initial. Tie tag onto ornament loop with ribbon.
for the stand cut a piece of honey cardstock at 6" x 3/4" and punch one of the long sides with the loop border punch. using a mini glue dot adhere the ends of the strip together to make a circle. set ornament in circle.
I can't wait to see how thes look on my table, once I get it cleared off, of course. Well, lots to do before thanksgiving comes and I'm not getting any of it done by sitting in front of the computer. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!!!
